Nonno’s Pizzeria has replaced Casa Turano as the neighborhood pizza joint. Thankfully! Pizzaiola Vincent is a master at his trade, and delivers a terrific pie. The semolina crust is the secret weapon here, but the sauce is equally tasty. An 86-year old member of our clan declared this the best pizza she’s ever had. High praise!

If I was rating based on smell, this pizza would be in the 9s. However, the taste doesn’t match the pleasant olfactory sensation. Very greasy and not much flavor. Cheese is bland, sauce lacks zing and the dough isn’t crispy enough. The best part is the crust and even that is nothing special.
