Pizza Review
Not sure how you do this style any better
Pizza Review
While I looked for best pizza places in the area, this one caught my eye. I was not expecting much, really. A hole-in-the-wall off a small side street near downtown, I thought I’d stop in for some Detroit style pizza. Honesty was not really in the mood for DSP. It’s not my favorite, and I almost did not even go there due to being turned off by the trans flag hanging outside by the door. However, I decided to try it, and I realized that I had found the best pizza I have EVER had in my LIFE. I’m not even a Detroit style guy. But man. This pizza is an 8.6 and I will stand by that. Don’t believe me? Go try it yourself and tell me that’s not an 8.6. You might not even like pizza, but will fall in love. First, the caramelization around the edge was top-notch. Stood straight up. Was not burnt. Buttery, garlicky, and provided perfect crunch. The bottom was also firm, not hard crunchy, but crisp and was a different type of feel than the outside of the dish. Something very hard to get right. The dough was perfect, with a beautiful amount of sauce layered over the cheese and pepperonis. Overall flavor was incredible. Quality ingredients cooked to perfection. I don’t know what to complain about. I really don’t. If I was going to die tomorrow and could have one last pizza it would be this. I’m just as surprised as you are reading this. Yes, I would want a Detroit style pizza. And it’s not even in Detroit!! Too good to be true? Go try it. Best thing I’ve ever had. 8.6. That’s a review.
