Friendly staff first of all. A little flop. Not much grease and i thought the cheese to sauce ratio was very good. Crust was a good thickness. Cool vintage signs inside too.

A very very good 7.6, I’m not a fan of red top and i usually get my pizza well done and this was great, the ladies on the inside are also very friendly as well offering my daughter a lollipop. Both my mom and I are very picky when it comes to pizza but this is our new local spot to get out pizza

The sauce is sweet and tangy. Zero flop, great crisp this slice is best in Norristown area and it’s not even close.

Good solid pizza. I tried both. Red Top and Regular cheese. I prefer the Red Top. Good sauce. Cheese was just slightly greasy. The crust is fantastic.

So I’ve been here once before years ago with a group of coworkers. I remember the pizza being decent but it didn’t blow me away at the time. The thing is that we just got the regular pizza. I’m familiar with the hype that surrounds this place and since I was driving by today I decided to take a look at the reviews on the one bite app. Everyone was ranting and raving about the sauce on top pizza which usually not my style but I decided I had to give to try. So I walk in and I requested just one slice and the guy behind the counter replied “Just One???” I get my slice and looks good. Crust is nice and crispy, cheese even had some visible browning which I like. The pizza was excellent. I was shocked how much I liked it. Cheese was super flavorful and salty with a great chew. The sauce has a strong tangy taste. The balance of flavors (which I think usually gets thrown off with sauce on top) was perfect. Probably would be even better with a fresh pie out of the oven. After finishing my slice, I decided I had to have another. As I approached the counter the gentleman behind said “you want another slice don’t you, I knew you were going to want another slice. Have a seat and I’ll bring it right out. 😂😂😂 All the Staff was also very friendly. Highly recommend 👌🏼👌🏼

Alright Frankie, I went with two “red top” slices based off the recommendation of a real greaseball Nicky Meoli from Local 5, great guy. This pizza had very good crisp, zero flop to it. The sauce to cheese ratio was excellent but the sauce left something to be desired in my opinion but still a solid slice no doubt about it. They take cash or credit and sell beer in the shop as well. Very cool, old school dining section in the back. I’m sure if I got a fresh new large red top instead of the window slices we might be looking at a high 7 or low 8 possibly but that’s a review.

Crust isn’t where it needs to be

Charlie’s “red top” style pizza is at the top of their menu and I consider it to be their plain pie. The crust is perfect. The sauce is delicious and plentiful. The cheese is of the highest quality. Something about the unique texture of each bite brings this pizza into a whole new universe. Best pizza in Philly area and quite possibly the best in the country.

Definitely not in the right range, but better than most of the average pizzas around here. No flop, rich sauce.

I thought the previous reviews were all hype but this pizza is as good as they say. You should definitely get the red top pizza. Sauce is amazing, cheese is great and the crust is perfect!
