Rating the Epic Plain Pizza - thin crust - very tasty. Definitely a pizza I could eat every week or so. Sauce and cheese are good 👍🏻🍕

After seeing other reviews I was not expecting to be giving this high of a score but gotta give credit where credit is due. Could be that I love it steaming out of the oven but the crust was excellent! A little floppy but didn’t mess with the taste.

Good crunch on the crust but a little floppy, it looks like like it should be better than it is. Sauce is okay, we did get delivery though.

Driving home passing through. Chose it based on Dave's score, though I should have send the red flag when the public's score was lower than Dave's. Bar pie, thin crust. The dough was good flavor but the crust itself just crumbled and there was nothing to it. Well cooked, tasty cheese and pepperoni. A little greasy and the sauce was a little bland. If it was in my neighborhood, I wouldn't be unhappy as they have a nice menu, but definitely not a go to for me.

Lots of flop, only the outer crust had crunch. Really liked the sauce and overall flavor. If there was crunch it would be in the high 8s.

I love bar pies. This pizza is a thin crust delight. It’s not for everyone, but it definitely for me. Love it.

Bar pie with medium flop and little grease. Hard to describe the flavor of its cheese and sauce, has a distinct taste. Crust didn’t wow me as much I was anticipating.

Not exactly a chain, but they have 3 different locations, including this Bound Brook spot that supposedly dates back to 1863 when it was a bed and breakfast. That’s almost 160 years in the service industry, which is absolutely incredible. Evidently they’ve been making thin crust pizza here since 1955, which is the name of their standard cheese pie: “The Rock ‘55.” Their “large” pizza is actually a 14” bar pie. If you’re looking for something bigger, you can order the “Whopper” (18”) or for big parties you can get the “Epic” (28”). I opted for the large and upon first impression, it looked like, felt like, and tasted like generic frozen pizza. Miraculously, it grew on me with each bite, getting tastier and tastier, going from garbage to good after 2 slices. The sauce is actually sneaky delicious, not particularly sweet but seasoned well with a little kick, getting even better towards the remarkably crunchy crust. The cheese is pretty basic, a tad thickish for thin crust, fairly tight with a nice layer of char. The dough is razor thin, surprisingly tasty, decently crispy, with an outrageously crunchy cracker-like crust. Overall, this is a unique and somewhat polarizing pizza in both taste and texture. After a rough start, I really came around to enjoying this pie as a whole. While it might be everyone’s cup of tea, I think it’s very solid among bar pies.
