Church Street Pizza

I was served a slice from a freshly baked pie by the friendly lady at the counter. It’s the closest to a NY slice that I’ve had in the DC, MD, VA area. The crust was crisp in all the right places, and the sauce to cheese ratio was perfect.

This place is a hole in the wall. The crust held nice, no flop. I wasn’t a fan of the taste of the crust though…kinda bland. Cheese and sauce were okay.

Despite the 30 min. drive each way I've probably been here @ least 20 times, and more than any other pizzeria, starting when they 1st opened up...simply b/c it's the best around for NY pizza in Northern, VA and originally a solid 7. Most places outside of NY don't know proper green peppers, so plain is always the safest way to go, eating about 5 slices driving in the car. Crust is nice; not sure if they started going cheap on their ingredients because the last few times it was tasting somewhat bland though?!

Crispy, cheese isn’t the best, decent grease

This review is for the cheese slice. Very good. Paper thin, nice crunch on the crust. Cheese is solid and sauce had hint of sweet. Re-heat slice for about 30 seconds. Could have been reheated a bit longer.

Super veggie slice. Seasoned the F out of it. Decent flop (toppings considered), did still have a nice crisp, could use more sauce.
