Citizen Pie - Cleveland, OH

Good pie. Crust is solid and has good flavor and texture. Also got a red pie... sauce was good, not totally overpowering at all. Felt nice on the tongue. Insane amount of cheese on the white pie. Took away from crust and overall flavor. Basically a mouth full of cheese with some bread on the side. Basil was good. Chef ran out to look at a fire truck mid meal. I respect it, but it was unusual. They did not give drugs to the person who asked, and they did not give $2.50 to the guy who came in and asked for it. Good place nonetheless.

I’ve been here once before and I accidentally got the margarita pizza instead of the regular cheese. To be honest, I was pretty disappointed with it (gave it a 6.9), especially since this is a popular shop in CLE + their old downtown location was some of the best in town (rip). But I decided to give them a second try, by trying their true cheese pizza, and it didn’t disappoint! The sauce and cheese were both excellent… super fresh and full of flavor! Can’t get over how good the sauce was. The only thing that was just “ok” was the crust; It wasn’t the most flavorful and definitely could’ve used more crunch as it was a little too chewy. I’m not the biggest fan of wood fire pizza, but this is some of the best of this style pizza that I’ve had.

Different. Good fresh bread. Minimal sauce. Worth the visit.

If this had more sauce it would be a 9!!! It is cooked well and I would travel for this pizza if it had just more sauce! It’s good pizza I’d encourage every one in the Cleveland area to try!!

Had high hopes for this place. Sadly reality is always less gleaming. Very flavorless pizza. Sauce was more like juice and just ran right out of the pizza. Don’t waste your time.

i don’t see how it could’ve been better. Perfect neapolitan crust. Very fresh. Perfectly baked and quality ingredients. 9.9 because nothing is ever a true 10! This is the place in the Cle for pie.
