Clara’s Pizza King

Medium 12’ The Royal Feast, minus mushrooms. So pepperoni, sausage, onion, green and red peppers. Nice crisp to the undercarriage crust, and the toppings were all very good together. Unique that you call in your order from a phone at your table if you dine-in! Old School, I love it!

Pizza king sure has the best flavor of any pizza in Fort Wayne. A slight tang but sweet sauce and the pepperoni is awesome compared to a normal sliced pepperoni. If Clara’s could change how the cook the pizza, it would be a game changer for them. The crust doesn’t get crispy enough and ends up being more doughy, but it does have a good simple flavor. I firmly believe this pizza would have potential to be high 8’s or higher if they cooked on a wood or coal fire oven. I would also rate this in the 8’s but I have a hard time going 8 because of the crust and also because it’s $25 for a 14” pizza. I do believe cost should come into play and they are certainly higher priced.
