Pizza Review
One bite everyone knows the rules. Speaking of which, rules are made to be broken so here we go.. I went with the Norristown Red Top pie instead of the gold medal plain slice. The Red Top pie is made with sweet red sauce and white cheddar, great combination. The thick sauce is sweet and tangy, but I feel a lot of the sweetness also comes from their killer thin undercrust. The thin dough may be the cause of the flop you have in this pie, but that doesn’t bother me. The crust and under crust were both crispy without being dry. (ie they know their dough and bread at this place) Collegeville ITALIAN Bakery makes all their own bread and baked goods, it really shines in their pie. They also have great chicken cutlet sandwiches, cheesesteaks, Italian foods, and plenty of specialty pies. This slice left me craving another, very excited to go back!
