Columbia Inn was recommended by a friend and it definitely delivered. “Thin is inn” it was very good, nice crisp. My friend hired them for a party and they came with a food truck to make restaurant quality pizza’s.

Amazing crisp crust. Delicious cheese in perfect proportion. I don’t like the sauce. It tastes like marinara. Would be a lot better if it were a bit sweeter and more tomatoey.

The crust was the thinnest I’ve ever seen. Didn’t think I’d like it when I opened the box but I was wrong. Crust was solid and crunchy without any flop yet was not burnt. Pretty good accomplishment for such a thin crust. Sauce and cheese were flavorful without any grease. I prefer a little more end crust on my pizza. I can see why some scores are very high. For me it’s a very good 8.1!

Thinnest pizza I've ever had, and yet the undercarriage stands up very strong. No flop. Nice crunch and crispy bed. Cheese seems thicker than the dough itself - amazing. Wish the cheese had a little more sharpness to it. Acidity of the sauce makes itself known, in a good way Overall, great combination of texture and flavor.

I grew up in north jersey but live in Atlanta now. This pizza is simply legendary and a must try!

I have only two criticisms of Dave Portnoy’s pizza scoring skills. The first is that, when scoring, he makes no distinctions between (a.) Naples style wood fired oven pizza (see: Una Pizza Napoletana); (b.) New York Style Neapolitan deck pie (see: Johnny’s Pizza of Mt. Vernon); or (c.) a classic bar pie (see: Columbia Inn Restaurant. Then the second is the fact that he can be “politically” motivated by edginess and gamesmanship. Here’s my simple review of the bar pie at The Columbia Inn. The atmosphere is holiday like and festive. The ownership is warm and hospitable. Many thanks to Tony and the staff. The service is excellent. Now on to the pizza. A lot of bar pie locations par bake their shells and it’s easy to tell, regardless of whether you think your local bar pie tavern makes the best. The Columbia Inn rolls out fresh dough for their crust and there is no par shell baking. I would have preferred a touch more sauce or the style of prep similar to Johnny’s but overall, having had two pies, one plain and one pepperoni, and seeing the other great creations around the room, this bar pie is the best I’ve ever eaten and handily beats Eddie’s of New Hyde Park. My friend Kevin was so full and unable to eat another slice, somehow picked up one more. Nine point one on the ratings scale for a classic freshly made bar pie.

Cheese pie: good pie; veeeery thin crust, definitely the thinnest I've had; cheese is cooked very well; no flop at all, very crispy; could definitely use some more sauce though, and I wouldn't consider the sauce itself good; could also use just a bit more cru

Great pie, definitely worth checking out. Really thin and crispy, which is the best. The cheese was really good. The sauce was good too, I just wish there was a little more. Either way, worth going to.

I ordered 1 cheese regular and 1 cheese double crust. The double is just a more well done crust. This has to be the thinnest crust I’ve had... it’s almost paper thin. I like a crispy pizza so to me the double crust on takeout is the way to go... super crispy. Cheese and sauce were great, crust has a semolina dusting on the underside which I liked. This pizza is super light, not filling, one person can polish off one and still eat a full meal. Highly recommend.

Very thin crust bar style pizza. Good zing with sauce. Reminds me of Pete and Eldas. You can easily polish off one pie yourself. So get 2 if there are two of you. Bonus review: wifey ordered Faba Salad with Shrimp added on, she said was excellent

Very thin, very crispy but imo it just didn't have the flavor I was looking for. Good but not great. Diane was the star of the show.

Better than Angeloni’s, but Portnoy did Star Tavern dirty. 8.9
