Coniglio's King of Pies

I had Coniglio’s Old Fashioned Brooklyn Style Margherita Pizza in Morristown, NJ a while back and remember thinking it was just okay. Today, I ordered the Gold Standard Large Cheese Pizza from their new Asbury Park location, and it absolutely exceeded my expectations. The crust was everything you want in a great NY-style pizza—light, airy, firm, crunchy, and beautifully charred. The sweet tomato sauce was applied generously, and the Grande mozzarella delivered that perfect creamy, rich finish. This was a completely different experience from what I remembered. One of the best plain cheese pizzas I’ve had at the Jersey Shore.
