Covered Bridge Pizza

I'll start by disclaiming that I grew up eating this pizza religiously, but will give an honest review of today's C.B.P.... It's a decent pizza. Not great, but deece. They're pretty skimpy with the cheese and sauce so it leaves a lot to be desired in that department. The sauce is great, with a lot flavor and a nice tang to it, but it's barely there (just like the cheese). There was easily more cheese on my side salad than this medium pie. The undercarriage looks nice, and it has zero flop, but somehow there's also zero crunch to it... Almost soggy. It is a bit "bready" and heavy too. The story of the restaurant and the atmosphere is really neat and honestly it's worth trying at least once for those reason alone. Frankly, up until about 8-10 years ago this would have been an 7.8 to 8.1 all day, but the quality has really fallen off over the years. It's sad, really. But it is what it is now... Overall it's a 6.2 anymore. Still a favorite for nostalgia reasons, but an honest 6.2 is all I got.
