Ok, so most of the reviews here are fucked. This pizza is bangin. Check my resumé. I’m a seasoned vet when it comes to pizza. I don’t know if it was because the owner made this pie, or I just came on the right day, but this is some of the best pizza I have had in the Capital Region. It actually might be my favorite spot so far and I’ve tried most of them. The service was great and the pizza was better. It’s Wood-Fired and crispier than the girls underwear that Portnoy hangs out with (vaginal discharge). The dough was super thin and had plenty of character. The Sauce was a simple tomato sauce. It wasn’t overpowered by Italian seasoning or a shit load of sugar (I do like slightly sweet sauces though). It’s just a simple tomato sauce with a good amount of tang/zing leaning more toward zing.The ratios of the cheese and sauce for the thinness of it were pretty darn good too. The guy who put this pie together knows his shit. You can tell that it’s made by someone who actually cares and has a passion for what they do unlike most garbage ass pizza joints around here. Oh! by the way, the slices were fuckin huge. Give this place a shot.

My favorite CBR slice in the dam. Big slice calls for big flop. Sub-par crisp. Overall this pizza fucks.

Friggin slices are huge! The crispness of the crust puts the cheese slice in the high 7s without a doubt. Crunchy on every bite. The cheese was tasty and the sauce was fresh. Not an 8 for me but close. The old style tomato pie is pretty good and has some rustic qualities and is Also very crispy, no flop at all. 7.7 on the old school slice.

All right everybody! It’s pizza review time! Dawn wanted to go to a very specific bakery out here in the Dam, Rotterdam that is. We were both hungry so it worked for both of us. There’s a bunch of pie shops out here, I’ve done several, kind of on one the main roads out I spotted “WOOD FIRED” on Cusato’s sign, hit the brakes and pulled in, next to a wood pile in the back there. High hopes folks! High hopes! Well, they were dashed, I ordered two slices, the counter girl said she’d warm them up for me. Great! I see the door to the wood fired oven out front. She goes in the back? Wait what? She warmed them in a traditional pizza o en in the kitchen. Why? I want fire char and flavor! So I get the slices and go back to the car to eat them. Then I notice there’s no smoke coming out of the stack on the roof, can’t even see heatwaves around the chimney! Faked, false. It’s like they drew me in with smoke and mirrors, or no smoke and mirrors I guess. So it was okay, okay crunch on the crust, not a lot of flavor anywhere. I guess kind of blue collar pizza, it did it’s job, we weren’t hungry anymore. 6.2, it’s fine. That’s a review

Regular slice pies were good. Crust had good flavor, thin, good crisp. Sauce was tasty, good tang. Cheese was good as well. Would have scored higher but the grease had grease. Wood fired pizza is a 7.5 Same description as above but very little grease and the extra flavor from the wood fired oven. If this is you’re neighborhood spot you’re doing alright. Try the wood fired.
