It’s not a good sign when you’re holding a pizza box with a hot & fresh pie inside and it doesn’t smell delicious; it’s even worse when it doesn’t taste very good either. When you skimp on the sauce, it makes it very difficult to give out a good score. Aside from the grease, this is a “Sahara pie,” way too dry due to lack of sauce. The cheese is gooey from the oil but also way too thick and chunky; without enough sauce to balance it out, it’s just too overpowering. The dough is surprisingly firm with solid crisp, including the crust which is light, airy, and very crispy, just completely void of flavor. I’m not sure if adding more sauce will do much for this pie; could be a lost cause. I could have rated even lower but this is a more than fair score.

Solid pizza. Tasty and flavorful. The grandma (old Fashion) is thin, crispy and jumps with taste. Can’t go wrong with a good ol pepperoni slice. Good chill pizza joint on the ave.

Their regular slice is just ok, they have good crust , a combo of crisp and pull. The sauce though has minimal flavor. Not the worst slice but definitely not the best. This places saving grace is their old fashion. On par if not better than Tony D’s old fashion in Caldwell NJ, but that’s a square thin crust, Da Mario’s is a true Sicilian style old fashion and like my name says , I love Sicilian style and old fashion is my favorite and this one is one of the best !!!

This is the most OK pizza I’ve ever had. Not a bad pizza, standard football pizza but not GOOD by any means.
