D'Agostino's Pizza and Pub Wrigleyville

Dag's, a staple pizza spot in Wrigley/Lakeview. Chances are you've probably driven past this spot at the corner of Addison and Southport. I ordered a stuffed pizza, half pepperoni, half Canadian bacon and pineapple (compromised for a friend). If you're looking for an out-of-this-world pizza experience, this is not the place to go. However, if you're looking for a solid option for a non-chain spot, this is it. As you probably read by now, the sauce is very sweet, and at times, a little too sweet for my liking. The ratio of cheese to sauce to crust was pretty balanced, even though the bottom was slightly soggy and crust very crispy. The crust tastes like a cornmeal and flour hybrid (could be wrong; think more like Lou Malnati's). After one slice, you will be very full. Overall, it satisfied my pizza craving for the night, but nothing that stands out here. I would try another type of pizza here when I'm in the area again.
