Sauce is mad sweet. Reminds me of Joe’s in Manhattan.

This seriously might compete with La’Nona‘s in Brooklyn a.k.a. Williamsburg a.k.a. hipster Ville, John’s on Blinker has nothing absolutely nothing to compete with Danny’s, the sauce alone beats John’s of Bleecker Street now when it comes to Danny’s I don’t even know what to say because I’m going to try it again la nonnas had flavor and crisp although it was very oily Danny’s on the other and didn’t have flop but the flavor made up for it honestly I feel like this sweet sauce should be a staple in all pizzas in the Manhattan area I honestly shouldn’t given Lanoa‘s a higher review we will go back and revisit the review denny’s could become a nine. Nine I just need more experience in the pee the game it is still early and still young this is a must visit, I literally ate this pizza outside in a nor’easter blizzard to tell you how good it was traveled 40 minutes on the subway to tell you how good it was had my girlfriend yelling at me for 10 minutes straight to tell you how good it was and all of this to say this may just be the best pizza in New York City be aware if you want a pie you may have to wait an hour for a fucking pie That being said you could be coming for Ness King like me and ask for horse slices and trick the busters into making four slices for you because we all know everyone in New York City is a buster

A friend of mine took me and my girl here today to try.. I scored the regular of course, but I’d say the slice with the sauce on top was the best… and apparently what this place is known for.. very distinctive sauce here. I personally felt a love/hate relationship going on with it - took me a while to score it.. I was staring at the slice for what seemed like days. I do like that it was thin, and even the crust tasted different then the norms… Don’t go out of your way, but if you’re around… try it, it’s different.

Love the sweet sauce!!! Quintessential perfection that was crispy from first bite to last, awesome ratio and the place is amazing.

Really hit or miss on this slice. The sweet sauce is excellent and lived up to the hype. The rest of the slice was not great. The dough was super messy and just feel apart when eating, yet the end of the crust was over done and hard as a rock.

Great crust. Thin with lots of crunch. Almost cracker-like. The sauce, which Dani’s is known for, will be hit or miss depending on your taste. For me, it’s a little too sweet. I could see myself eating this a few times a year, but not more than that. With a less overpowering sauce this is a 7.7 slice.

Something in the sauce makes it a sweet slice. Crust is very hard and thin, basically falls apart into pieces when you bite into it. Small amount of cheese, small amount of sauce. Just small altogether.

It’s one of those establishments that have to be tried once. You’ll either love it or hate it. The sauce is very distinct. It’s a great slice but it can get old quick. Only disappointing aspect is that there is an oregano aftertaste.

I visited Dani’s a couple of months back and got a pesto slice with sauce and a regular slice. Considering all the hype this place gets I figured I’d head back because I did want to give them another shot since I was not all that impressed the first time. It wasn’t very crisp that time, a good amount of flop on the slices and the sweet sauce was way too sweet. So, I got their popular pesto slices again and I will say the underside was done much better this time. No flop, good crispness and very hot out of the oven. Unfortunately I must say the sweet sauce is again just too sweet for my liking, it has some good flavors overall but topping the pesto slice with it is just too overpowering for me, the sauce was all I could taste. The regular pesto slice without sauce was better, it had a good crispness and the back crust had a nice crunch with a little airiness in the bite. The mozzarella was a pretty standard profile, you do get some fresh bright flavors from the pesto though, strong basil overtones obviously. The dough by itself didn’t have much flavor, rather bland but overall it’s a good solid slice.

I had the pesto slice and a slice of the regular. Won’t let me post more that one pic🤨🤔 Frankie, you might want to fix that. Super floppy pizza and very sweet sauce, which surprisingly I loved. We were calling this Ninja Turtle/Birthday Pizza. I went high on this one with an 8.5. Want to try again to see if that score remains consistent.

Definitely an acquired taste for the sweet sauce but it’s a good slice regardless.

Sauce is too sweet for me, but definitely a unique twist on your traditional slice. Probably a place I would go to a few times a year if I lived nearby

Regular: It has a slight crispness to it but I still wouldn't say its crispy. Sauce is to sweet for me. Cheese is the best part of this slice. I'm not saying it's bad, its just not my style of pizza. 7.2 Pesto: it's the regular with pesto sauce. The pesto is pretty good. 7.2
