I grew up going to Zuni's in Schererville to get their pizza after sporting events so it has a nostalgia to it. Dante's is run by the same family and when I was driving past the other day, I had to order some pizza. The pizza was just how I remembered it. The crust is thin and very crispy. You get a nice crunch when you bite into it, but its not as thin as a cracker; you get an ample amount of foundation. The sauce is nice and light in the amount they use and the flavor (as in it's not over-powered with seasonings). The sauce really allows the toppings to shine for the pizza. Sausage is chunky and arranged uniformly across the pizza. It has a unique seasoning that is memorably satisfying to Dante's. Pepperoni has a great flavor and dispersed equally across the pizza as well. I really love how the cheese is cooked. It is not overly browned, but cooked evenly from the top through to the meats. You don't get a crispy top layer and under-cooked underneath. With all the ingredients and cheese, this pizza has a lot of texture. It's not flat pizza. I really enjoy that I can get different bites to really taste the flavors of the sauce, sausage, pepperoni, and cheese.
