Best dough on the island

To be honest, the hype was to much to live up to. That said, it was really good. ESPECIALLY for Long Island. Not Football Pizza. Many, many choices. I picked two.

I normally prefer a regular slice with this. I ate the regular. It was happy with it one of the better slices around and then I eat the square and regretted not eating that first because it was by father better slice and would’ve been better out of the oven regular slice I’ll probably go ea 8.2 and a square 8.6

Honestly the best pizza on Long Island and is up there with any pizza!!

2 "sicilian" and a regular - $14. Bit on the pricey side, but as always, if the quality is there, i dont mind paying it. First thing ill say, if youre hungry and grab a slice or 2, youll be just as hungry when you finish. These may be the lightest slices ive ever had. Honestly had to open the box and make sure 3 slices were in there. The regular slice - not scored officially but Dave was spot on. This is a 8.3 all day. Good crisp. Good under. Good flavor. The "Sicilian" was solid, but imo, nothing spectacular. Again, very light slices, none of that typical chew to it. Very flakey, decent flavor to the sauce. Couldnt taste the cheese, not much there, honestly they put more grated parm on than there was mozzarella. Super crunchy crust, but this isnt my style "Sicilian".

Dave needs to come back to this place!

Great crisp. Zero flop. Hit three other spots Dave gave 9s to. Umbertos, Lazzara, and Angelo's. Dario's crushed them all. Great slice.

We gave it a 7.8, 8.1, 7.9, average of a 7.9. great pizza. Only issue is they added parm onto the slice and I’m not sure why. I’m not normally a basil person, but it worked on this slice. Drove 1hr to get here and definitely a slice where that is worth it.

On the way to Italy for Spring Break with my wife and 2 teenage boys. We had a few hour layover at JFK, the boys asked if I could find a local pizza joint that Dave reviewed so I quickly launched the One Bite app and settled on Dario’s. After arriving to Dario’s about a 20 minute ride from JFK, we were wowed by the authentic aroma when you walk in the door. We were greeted by an awesome staff and pizza maker. We ordered a large Regular pie and a lemon bombolini. Hands down one of the best pizza’s we’ve ever had. If you are looking for a pizza with a perfect crisp and the right sauce to cheese ratio, it’ll be hard to find a better pie. Oh, btw I’m writing this review on the flight back from Italy (Rome, Naples, Sorrento, Capri, Postitano, Venice, and Milan. I asked the boys and they confirmed Dario’s hands down was the best pizza on the trip, coming in a close 2nd was a Neapolitan style pie we had in Capri. If you are in the area I would highly encourage you to stop by Dario’s, absolutely an AMAZING pizza and pastry! Grazie Mille!!
