DaVinci Pizzeria

A very comfortable 7.6. It’s a classic Siciliano Pizza. Very cheesy, light and fluffy. Most places don’t make very good squares, so compared to those DaVinci knocks them out of the park. But it’s pretty standard to me. It seems like they needed a reputation for something, so they were like “let’s tell ppl we make the best the squares around” and some ppl bought into this idea. But to me it’s a slightly above average square slice. Nothing to ride home about. If you are in the mood for a square pie and don’t want to have a cakeish mess like most places then order from DaVinci. But if you are having the boys over and you are watching the Knicks and you have a few square pies from here. Your boys are gonna be like “where is the friggin L and B?”

Loved the Sicilian slice I’d probably rate the regular slice a 7.2

This pizza is pretty good. They have a hefty amount of cheese, a nice crisp and the crust is pretty good. It came out of the oven as soon as I got there so it was guaranteed to be fresh. Not a bad option at all.

Solid slice decent sauce

Best sicilian slice in NYC I do not know what happened when Dave went there but this is by far the best sicilian hands down!!

Was excited to try DaVinci, it was solid but I thought this would be in serious consideration for king Sicilian slice.

This is what a NY slice should be. Perfect balance of crisp and chew. Nothing out of this world, but consistent, delicious and the staff is super friendly and gracious. Drink selection is great with the glass coke bottles and Stewart’s.

Cheese and crust is very good

No bs here this place for the Sicilian is insanely good the cheese pull is unlike any slice I’ve tried fresh pie too put the oven. Sauce tastes off the charts but the crust is the star here. Severely pillowy light airy yet crunchy on the bottom. Staff is awesome guy was really nice to me and talked to me while the pie was cooking, great experience and a must if your a man off the pizz!!

By far the best sacilian I’ve had. Phenomenal. Nothing close in Brooklyn. Cheese is unreal, different but the rest of the pizza is perfect. Must try!

No flavor

Good crunch on both. Fresh mozzarella. I’d rate both the same score. Solid slice. Square was a bit overhyped going in.

Stopped in for a couple slices and was not disappointed. Both were good but the fresh mozz slice on the left had better flavor. Good crisp on the undercarriage and sauce was tasty. Side note: The owner is an awesome guy full of life and great stories. Definitely recommend giving him a listen.

I am not usually a fan of a thick Sicilian pie, however, DaVinci in Brooklyn is the King of Square pizza. While the dough rises high, it is as light as a cloud and as crispy as a pretzel. While the pizza does not look like it would be “light,“ it actually is. In addition, the sauce and cheese meld together into a river of deliciousness. The place looks like it has been around for over 50 or 60 years, and it has. Definitely not a place to enjoy indoor dining with a view, but definitely a place to go to get one of the best Sicilian pizzas in NYC.
