De Fazio's

DeFazio’s is the Gold standard! I live in Pennsylvania, and have been driving long distances for over 15 years to eat here. The traditional plain is my favorite. However, the homemade sausage is a delicious addition. This is a must try!

Cheese and sauce are great. Crust even better. One of the best slices I’ve had.

I wouldn’t have been able to taste this is a bread dough without knowing that cool tidbit. Really enjoyed the cheese, and I liked the puffy crust. Definitely a thicker pie.

8.1 only because it was a little too much grease, but to be fair that was most likely my own fault for ordering the meat lovers! Excellent pizza and even better people and atmosphere! Definitely worth the visit if you are ever in the area! Thank you so much to all the staff and the owner for showing us around and being one hell of a guy!!

Everything about this pizza is 1 of 1. Grandmas Italian bread recipe for the crust, 75 year house made sauce recipe, wood fired, the list goes on and on. Light and fluffy crispy pizza and the owner (Rocco DeFazio) is the coolest pizza dude. The great pizza plus the history makes this a GENERATIONAL spot!

Great looking pizza but the dough was under cooked, massive flop. It’s a shame because the sauce and cheese were top notch. Disappointing because I took a small detour on the way down to NJ from Montreal. The owner, Rocco, gave me a tour of the side kitchen and told me all about the background and history of the store. But his workers let him down; you gotta get the basics right of cooking the pizza dough correctly.

Essentially a large Neapolitan with a lot of cheese

It was just alright. Dough was yeast similar to a bread dough, sauce too crushed pepper forward (and I love spicy), the cheese didn’t feel super high quality or fresh. I think our pie was slightly undercooked since it was rather doughy. Not a bad pie but not very good, it might be best in area but not worth traveling to

Drove a little over an hour to try this one and I’m glad I did. It is very good pizza!

Great taste. Couod be a little crispier for me but I had a 20 min drive after ordering that may have had some affect. Still very good.

Maybe I hyped it up too much. Went out of my way to try this out. Crust was mid. Sauce was a little sweet. Aggressively average. Shrug.

Everything on point.

Pizza was absolutely amazing, crispy undercarriage with an almost spongey bread, perfectly seasoned sauce with an incredible cheese blend that melts so perfectly. Staff is amazing also!!

Using Bread Dough instead of Pizza Dough is just brilliant. Definitely elevated the pizza in a way that makes this place stand out amongst others. This is an old school pizza place that gives me nostalgia.

Best pizza in the area.

Went to the location in Albany. It’s okay, not bad, not great. I prefer more sauce. NYC has much better pizza
