My expectations for DeLucia’s were very high, but they somehow managed to exceed them. The cheese and sauce are well balanced. The crust is baked to absolute perfection - light, airy, and crispy. They sell out very quickly so make sure to call ahead early! I highly recommend this place.

Went here based on Dave’s review and it didn’t disappoint! Another one on the thin side and great flavor. No flop.

Firm, flavorful, well done without needed to be ordered that way specifically. These lowball scorers are out of their mind…. This is 9.3 all day long

If there was a pizza purgatory where all you do is eat pizza this is the pie I would choose. I was prepared to say “overrated” based on the hype. I simply can’t. It has the best qualities of a bar pie but the crust is strong and sturdy so doesn’t fit in that category. Unlike traditional bar pies that break into pieces this holds strong with an impactful crunch. You also can’t write off the sauce. It makes you gitty like when I first saw the movie milk money in grade school. This is like a cover band playing the best of federici, santillo and Nancy’s all in one night. Superb!

Good. A little bland for my liking. Very crispy, too crispy for my preference. Solid pizza. Wouldn’t make another special trip.

I was expecting a lot more given the hype. The cheese isn’t as fresh as you’d expect and the sauce is adequate. The real dealbreaker is the undercarriage. It tastes much like a pie crust you would find in an actual pie (i.e. key lime or pecan) which is thick and strong. The crust edges are pretty good but a little burnt. I can understand why some would like this style of pizza, but I just didnt click with it, especially given how hyped I was.

Crunchy and crispy with every bite. Some air pockets here and there. Very light and not greasy at all. The downside is that the pizza was very light on sauce and the sauce that was on it didn’t have much flavor to it, needs some herbal notes. But overall, it’s really good.

Portnoy nailed this review. Great crisp, only critique would be a tad more sauce. Wait was also hour and a half at 2:30

Half pepperoni, half cheese. This is delicious pizza—fresh tomato sauce, very crispy and chewy crust. The pepperoni gives additional saltiness, which I preferred. Glad I made the trek!

Great pizza wonderful flavors but waiting 2 hours for a pizza to me isn’t worth it so many other good places I’d come back if local but won’t travel for it

No way bear 9.5. Good pie but not worth the wait. Typical greasy Jersey pizza Very salty. Crust was good and pie stayed crispy Wouldn’t need to have this again. Either way, not much better options in Jersey.

Very nice place and very friendly staff but totally overhyped. Sauce was way too sweet in my taste. L’industrie in Brooklyn knocks it out of the park any day.

Really good pizza. Worth the drive for sure. Slightly greasy would be my only complaint. Crust is easily the best I’ve ever had, it’s got a crunch like no other pizza I’ve ever tasted. I still prefer Angelonis in Caldwell but it was really really good and worth the 40 min drive.

You can tell the oven is great. No flop, cheese is cooked to perfection, no burns on the dough. The crust is the perfect size too, and the twists add another fun layer to the eating process. The service was also delightful, despite their busy schedule they managed to squeak out an extra pie for us on the fly, everyone else in the restaurant reserved their seating. I came in with great expectations, since this only one of 3 9.4s in the history of pizza. However, I was underwhelmed. Despite the quality of the bake and build of the pie, there was something… missing. Maybe there wasn’t enough sauce, or cheese. Maybe the quality of the ingredients wasn’t all there. I don’t know. But what I do know, is that this pizza is an 8.6

Drove an hour for this. Visually it looks amazing. 9.4 on looks for sure. However, the dough is nothing spectacular. The sauce, the cheese, nothing to rave about, it has no kick to it… no unique taste or wow factor. It’s bland. I would have happy with a Pete and Elda’s pie (8.1), or a Federici’s pie (8.8) in Freehold. Federici’s has that kick and unique taste by far.

Always sold out, I drove 2 hours to try it. How are you sold out every weekend by 6pm? Probably overrated.

Absolutely amazing. We liked the eggplant better as opposed to the Margarita but the Margarita was fantastic as well.

Lived up to the hype. Pizza is delicious, crispy, and perfectly balanced. Great cheese and flavor. And kudos for keeping their prices in place considering the demand.

Different. This pizza is not like other pies. The crust is very unique. It’s almost like you’re eating Italian bread topped with cheese. Not much sauce, definitely would like more of it. Overall it was too well done (and I like well done pizza). I wouldn’t go back here. There are so many different pizza spots with better pie in NJ
