Denino's Greenwich Village

The pizza was fine, but it was glorified Chuck E Cheese pizza. No flavor in the crust. It was a solid NYC pizza but it wasn’t worth the $27 it cost

Got the margarita, very crunchy, sauce was the stand out for sure. Agree with Dave’s score.

Didn't get a pic of the full pie. Half original and half garbage pie in the photo. The score will be for the original. It had good crisp, sauce and flavor. However, nowhere close to a 9, prez was in a good mood that day. More like a strong 8.1 - very good but not in the conversation of the elite top tier.

Bold review here: Dave’s rating is accurate. Zero flop, super crunchy crust. The sauce on egg regular side we got was refreshing, light, and had solid tomato flavor. Reminded me of a jersey shore boardwalk pie, but way better. The vodka sauce was incredible- a must try. Subtle onion flavor but light enough that you could eat multiple slices and still want more. This pizza cost $36 but honestly you could make a case that it’s almost worth it. The rice balls were also delicious- some of the best I had - at $18 for 3 it’s a bit ridiculous but that’s New York for you.

Where has this place been my whole life. Better than John’s - thinner, crispier, no line, cozy tavern atmosphere. ESPN instant classic.

Quite good. Great crisp. St Francis Apizza in Cincinnati is better. But this pizza is just how pizza is meant to be.

To preface my review: maybe this pie was accidentally left in the oven for too long and this isn’t the normal cooking time. Unfortunately, this pizza was leaning a bit towards the burnt side. I love a nice crisp, but this was just charred. Without this complication, I would’ve given this pie a score in the high 8’s. Regardless, the flavor was amazing on the traditional pepperoni. I’ll put a major emphasis on the sauce, which was near perfection. I would definitely recommend to try.

Yes, it's a baby slice from the One Bite Fest. Harder to judge but looking at the pictures from the Greenwich Village and Staten Island locations, this is the same thing. Pretty sure they're a gas deck oven place, which is what they had at the fest. This was good, but not a great slice to me. Just a solid slice and I had more than what was pictured here to give them more than one shot. To me, this is more typical gas oven fare with maybr a better crust than your average slice joint a.k.a not as chewy and lighter. They probably use bread flour not the super high gluten stuff. But there's not much going on flavor, sauce, cheese-wise, or in crust that sets it over the top. It's a neutral (neither naturally sweet or tart) sauce.

Great flavor and awesome crunch, no flop. Good undercarriage, perfect balance of cheese and sauce.

Very good Franky. We where amazed by this pizza, we tried the original and the Margarita. The Original is the winner for us. I think it’s a must visit if you go to Bleecker street area.
