🏖BEST OF THE BEACH ALERT🏖 There’s a lot of average and below average pizza in South Jersey, particularly in the Manahawkin/LBI area, but this is head & shoulders above the rest of that schlock. I wouldn’t call it a chain, but this is part of the Denino’s franchise that originated on Staten Island. While I haven’t been to the original location, this spot is doing the Denino’s name proud. Right off the bat, you’ll see and taste the difference in the dough that separates this pie from the other local joints. It’s thin, crispy, flavorful and has a wonderful texture and consistency. The sauce is terrific, sweet and tangy with fantastic crushed tomatoes bursting with flavor and a perfect blend of spices. The cheese is a fresh & creamy mozzarella that melts in your mouth in the most delicious way possible. This is outstanding pizza that’s not only the best I’ve had in South Jersey but rivals some of the top spots up North. If you’re on LBI this summer and looking for really good pizza, make the trip out here, it’s well worth it!
