In the same family as other CT local legends Fuocco, Christo’s and Luna, Dimitri’s serves up New Haven style pizza and is totally deserving to be called abeetz. The mootz pie is well done, way more on the undercarriage than the top shows leaving my hands charred and black, very light and airy crust with minimal flop even cut this way. The sauce is a fresh tomato with a nice amount of tang, no herbation needed. The cheese had that bite that you look for around this area and the sauce cheese ratio was dead on. Although it looks like a thicker crust it was very thin, and easy to kill the XL 18” pie. Not sure about the oven but felt like a gas oven and as good a pie you can make from one too. The place is awesome inside and reminds me of the other family spots with amazing service too. If your in this area Dimitris is a must try spot!!!
