Having had apizza in New Haven and throughout Connecticut several times, I’d say this is not as good as a random Frank Pepe’s in some mall. With that said, for Portland it is remarkably good pizza- crunchy, no flop, a celebration of great ingredients prepared very well. Apparently the owner is CT born and raised and I’m glad they brought some CT to the PNW. I’ll be back. The cheese is great. I do wish they had a more traditional Tomato Sauce Pie. Their red pie is fine, but misses the point of what it’s imitating.

Best pizza in Portland by far. Zero flop, nice char, good leoparding on the undercarriage. Thin and crispy crust. You could maybe ding it for sauce being a little sweet but that’s splitting hairs. High quality toppings. Get some now!

Been here 1 year from CT, after visiting a few dozen pizza joint this is the best by far. Owner is from Stamford CT. Originally gave this an 8.2 based on CT and NY pizza but this is a 9.4 here.

Absolutely Fantastic!!! Best Pizza in the State!! There’s only one place better and that’s voodoo donuts and they don’t sell pizza!!!! Flipping Literally a 9.2 score!! CRISP,Cheese and the Frigin Suace near unbeatable.. and the bonus review score …a 9.5 on the spicy rigatoni à la vodka!!!

This one has that New Haven char. Pretty solid pie here. Good local beers and don’t sleep on the chocolate chip cookie!

This is one of the closest to New Haven pizza I have had on west coast. It’s a little bit thinner the NH pizza but the taste is very close without having coal. Definitely worth getting in in Portland.

This is great pizza, good crust and sauce but its the cheese that takes it all the way! I would recommend this to anyone who loves GREAT pizza. Would have liked a touch more....pinch more sauce, the sauce is excellent!

Very good pie. Good mix of cheese, sausage and sauce. I like the char on the crust, if I ever come back to Portland I would order again.

Beautiful New Haven-style pies. Nice undercarriage w/o too much flop, great char, and the prototypical NH asymmetrical cut. Only complaint was that it was a bit greasy. But the star is the sauce- it’s phenomenally flavorful and bright. Best pizza sauce in the city.

After traveling to Portland from the East Coast, I looked for a pizza to knock my socks off, and this not only did that…but it blew my mind! I’ve had New Haven Pizza from the source, and this goes toe to toe with all of them! Sensational pizza! You NEED to go out of your way to try it. 🙌 8.9 was my initial score but it's a 9 pizza all day!

Friendly service. 18” cheese pizza reasonably priced at $24 but small can of Ice Tea overpriced at $4. Had very high expectations and was disappointed. Pizza not terrible, but not amazing like New Haven pizza made locally. Too salty, too much flop. Just lacked an “x” factor that makes apizza amazing. Would definitely come back if I were a local, but not worth traveling to get here.

Great flavor. No flop, crunchy bite most of the time. Solid pizza!
