I had a 2.5 hour drive to for a gathering. The whole ride I thought “Can’t wait to try this pizza!” I hate to be rude but man, was I disappointed. This is the third straight wood fired stove pizza I’ve had and it clearly ranks a distant third.
Dough was razor thin, sauce slightly sweet, and crust was an awkward combination of burned and undercooked. It is as if they oven wasn’t quite at the right temperature but they had to pump out these pies.
Live the concept, they have a fresh herb and spice harden in the back but I wouldn’t return for this pizza under any circumstances.
That being said, everything else was spectacular. The steak, gnocchi, salad, all top notch. But the haven’t mastered the pizza yet. Here’s hoping that becomes as good as everything else.
