Doughboy's Pizza

Good pizza.

Was out in the Rocks today for work and decided to try this popular pizza place. It was my first time, but it’s a go to in the area. I didn’t really like it that much. The sauce was so strong and pungent. I’ve had this kind of pizza sauce plenty of times before, and it really puts a cap on how good the pizza could be. The pizza I can honestly say was cooked well but the sauce just throws it off big time. I can’t really give an honest assessment of how the cheese tasted because the sauce always got in the way. Not the best day at work and not the best pizza afterwards.

Solid pie. Lots of flavor.

Soaking wet and floppy. Crust is packed with cornmeal to make for a mealy mouthfeel while chewing. Sauce isn’t very tomato forward, leaning towards pasta sauce. Decent cook, decent crisp. Wet is the word.

I enjoyed this pie. I liked the non cooked pepperoni on the pie. Cheese was stringy. Sauce was tangy. Crust was crunchy. It didn’t blow me away by any means. But overall it was a good pie.

This pie is great. Plenty of cheese plenty of sauce. Bonus the sauce is a little sweeter. The crust is thick, skipped eating that so I had more room for more slices. A large pie is the equivalent of most places xl. Generous pie size and great price

Good sauce cheese and crust, the bad sloppy mess paper from box stuck to cheese

If you like thick crust and a lot of cheese.. you’ll LOVE this!

Thick, based on the slice of plain really not much going on. Average pizza.
