Pizza Review
They serve up some monster slices here; not novelty big, but huge nonetheless. Unfortunately, this pizza is quantity over quality. Plenty of bang for your buck but you also get what you pay for: disappointingly generic pizza. The dough is soft & floppy, in need of serious crisping. I had to double fold each slice due to the sogginess and California floppage. There seems to be a ton of extra cheese, mainly because after they cook the pie, they add more mozzarella on top and re-bake the pizza. In the end, you get a gigantic, melty & oozy-textured cheesy conglomerate of average taste. The sauce is rather bland, a little Chef Boyardee-esque, with a somewhat canned, weak premade flavor. Some extra spices would definitely liven up the sauce and make it more palatable. Overall, this pizza won’t leave you hungry; but it won’t leave you satisfied either. Even though this scored in the 6s, you have to remember a California 6 is a New York 5. I hoped for a bit better showing from Cali’s capital.
