Emmy Squared Pizza: Navy Yard

Some pretty good Detroit style pizza. I tried three different kinds and they were all tasty. The sauce has to be good for this style of pizza to work and fortunately it was. There were some pieces where it felt like too much crust but it’s expected for this style of pizza.

First Detroit-style slice. Nice crisp under carriage. Good balance of sweet/heat from honey/jalapeño.

Wonderful pizza! Great crust, perfect amount of cheese, and very nice tasty sauce.. great vibe to match!

Detroit style, so different scale; could be more generous with the sauce.

I had the Roni Supreme. Has a bit of spice to the sauce (which I like) and a great crunch. It's a pretty heavy bite and prepare for a nap after. Solid pizza

Classic deep dish. Pep lit spicy

Phenomenal, I am partial to Detroit style pizza so taking that in stride, I still think this warrants a higher score. Fluffy crust, crispy edges, incredible sauce. Try it!
