Excellent tomato pie, my personal favorite in New Haven. Sauce is out of this world.

My favorite pizza during my New Haven tour. The flavor and cheesiness was reminiscent of NY style while still getting that great New Haven crisp. The owner/chef was so kind! He makes every pizza and genuinely cares about the quality. When he saw I was doing a pizza crawl he came out of the kitchen to ask about the trip. You can’t beat that service!

Dave and everyone else had it rated perfectly. It was thin and crispy but also very greasy and floppy. The flavor of it was also very good.

Ordered 1/2 pepperoni and 1/2 cheese… nice and thin with a good undercarriage. Can’t believe we were able to walk in and grab a seat with no wait 👍👍

Something went wrong here. Took over an hour in a less than crowded restaurant to get us a medium sausage Apizza. Dryest crust and dark dark mootz, not good. I think they left it in the oven way too long and just decided to dump it on our table anyway. With the best in the country around the corner Ernie’s is off the list.

Went there this afternoon and was blown away. Sally’s is my “gold standard” and when I saw this pizza I thought it was going to flop like crazy but it was nice and crispy. It was also not “heavy” either. Also, yes I should have taken a picture before I got to the last slice…

Not a bad slice at all, I have nothing bad to say about this place. The pizza is cooked well I wish the sauce packed more of a punch but overall this is a decent pizza.

Great bite, right amount of sauce and nice cheese finish. Very friendly family-owned place.

More flop than I expect from New Haven pizza but the flavor is on point. Crust is great.

Last place I visited in New Haven, and it also lived up to the hype. Super crispy crust. Excellent toppings. Cute little restaurant.

Wow this place is off the charts!! First off the staff is one of the nicest groups of people I’ve ever come across but the pizza is well in the conversation for best in area. The cheese is the star of the show it’s so silky and has tremendous flavor. Like better than anything around. The crust crispy first bite to last and it’s super airy. The sauce is fresh and zesty kinda gets overshadowed by the cheese but you know it’s there you know it’s good. The buttery taste from the bottom of the crust sets this off like no other I can’t believe Ernies doesn’t get more attention but just wow I love this pie!!! Pat makes all the pies and the consistency looks damn near perfect you gotta try this place if your around:)
