Pizza Review
This is one of those pies that catches your eye right away, very aesthetically pleasing. The cheese is melted to perfection and tastes just as good as it looks with a deliciously gooey consistency from the fresh oozing mozzarella. You’ll also notice a beautiful deep red sauce that’s thick and flavorful, packed with tang and zing to delight the taste buds. Despite these wonderful ingredients, the dough is shockingly disappointing. Lacking in flavor and crispness, this should have been a layup if it was made with Brooklyn water. The dough is usually the best part of New York pizza, sadly it’s the worst aspect of this pie along with lackluster crust. The other ingredients would push good dough into the high 8s, maybe even low 9s; but this soft, tasteless dough anchors this pie squarely in the mid 7s. With improved dough there is potential for this score to skyrocket. Still worth trying for the other quality ingredients.
