Had a reheated slice, on the record slices that are reheated is not the same as a fresh pie. Now onto the review, the crust was exceptional. The crust taste like sourdough bread. Sauce sweet and good cheese ratio. Overall a must try. If you live in Brooklyn NY you’re very fortunate, pizza capital in the world!

Great Pizza! Worth the trip from LI to eat it. Sauce has great flavor.

If a traditional NY slice and a fancy NY slice had a baby...it would be this pizza.

Cheese slice: WAY too salty; decent cheese; a nice touch with the sourdough, I’d say it was definitely a positive; good amount of crisp; sauce is decent; but again way too salty; not much flop, which is good; also, a bit too thick on the bottom dough, I’d say it would help if stretched a bit thinner

Overall, really good pizza. I absolutely love the cheese and sauce, some of the best I ever had. The crust was just okay, not bad, but okay. I like that it’s thin, but the crust is not all that crispy or delicious.

I ate my slice too quick for a proper picture. That's cause it was the bomb. Thin crust, no flop, delicate sauce. These guys are a new kid on the block but they respect the neighborhood and do a classic NYC slice. The Partanna is a nice remix if you want to try something a bit out of the box. ONE BITE EVERYBODY KNOWS THE RULES.

Rating for the regular slice - big flop, crust good. Hint of lemon on it or really acidic tomatoes. Creamy sauce/cheese good amount of grease.

It’s a fine slice, albeit a too little cheesy and salty for my liking. I really could’ve used a stronger sauce. The sourdough crust was excellent though.

My first review and I like it. I like it a lot. I like the taste, I like the bounce. Really good crust. Very transportable.

I could see the potential for greatness here but my slice was lacking flavor. GREAT crust and cheese. Barely any sauce. So disappointing. (Regular slice only)

Overrated. Crust is in the high 8’s, but sauce distribution is a debacle, sending it into the 7’s

Disclaimer: Look at the picture of my pie and then watch Dave Portnoy’s review and tell me I didn’t get a bait and switch. My pizza looks horrific. I’ve never seen burnt cheese/sauce in the middle of a pie before in my life. Dave’s pizza looks fantastic, with fresh basil, and good crunch in every bite. All that being said, looks can be a little deceiving. Believe it or not, despite not getting their best efforts on this pie, it was still very good. I believe they use a sourdough, which is rather unique tasting and even causes a more doughy crust. It does however, lack any crisp whatsoever. The sauce is also pretty unique, not very sweet, a bit tangy, but very tasty. The cheese is a solid blend with a dusting of pecorino Romano to bring out even more flavor. It all works together to capture that quality and distinct Brooklyn/New York pizza taste. And for $30 a pie, it encapsulates NY prices. While 8.2 may seem a bit generous by the looks of this pie, I firmly believe they are capable of making a better pizza that could score in the 9s. I’d consider doing a re-review, but not for $30 a pie.
