“New York’s Favorite Pizza,” right? Wrong.
I wanted to love this slice because the chain is owned and staffed by Albanians, and my wife is Albanian. But this straight cheese slice was just off in every way. The cheese was tasteless, the crust didn’t bounce and felt like a piece of cardboard paper, the sauce was strangely sweet and sour, the outside crust crumbled like sawdust in my mouth.
I feel bad for the friendly people who work there giving their slice such a low score, but if I ate 100 random slices of pizza across the country, I can’t imagine this being better than 17 of them. For that reason, a 1.7 might be generous.
I’d expect better pizza at any rural gas station.
