Fantini's New Haven Style Apizza

Omg this pizza was by far one of the best I’ve had in a very long time. My family of four did not stop eating it until it was gone. 8.9 that’s my review

I have never had New Haven pizza before, and I now understand what Dave is talking about. Utterly amazing, I am a New Yorker and have had all of the best pizza. But this is the best pizza I have ever had. It was cooked perfectly, the right amount of cheese and sauce. The flavor was so good I wanted to go back for another. I wish I had this on Long Island.

Bookmarked as a must try months ago, after seeing Dave’s review. Stopped in on the way home from a weekend trip. It was worth the detour. Pizza was cooked perfectly. Great undercarriage and minimal flop. Sauce was good and the crunch on the crust was great. Would add extra cheese next time. On a side note, the ambiance in this Italian restaurant was noticeable and the full menu looked great. Wish we had a place like this close to us.

Ok an explanation. It’s New Haven style. Comparing to other New Haven Style (Pepe’s, Spot) it was perfect. Nice undercarriage, sauce a perfect complement to the best meat (Sausage and Pepperoni) anywhere. To top it all off there as live jazz playing and our 78 year old waiter - Alfredo is a treasure. He used to wait on Gotti on Mulberry St in NYC 8.1 for the pizza 10 for the service and atmosphere.

What a phenomenal damn pizza. Holy shit. I get the New Haven hype now…. Problem is I have no real reason to convince the wife to visit New Haven…maybe I’ll try to push one of the kids to Yale…no for their education but so I can go on a New Haven pizza spree.

A little flop on first slice and too much char on undercarriage. 2nd slice was much better, no flop and perfect undercarriage. 2nd slice was 8.2. New Haven style apizza is my favorite!

Okay I’ve never had New Haven style pizza before, so there’s nothing to compare it too besides NY or Chicago. But this is absolutely delicious!!! I loovveee the sweet tomato sauce sooooo much , there was zero flop that shii stood straight up. All my trust is in Dave and he did not disappoint. I even had a real estate class in this shopping plaza before and my teacher always said to go, but i never did until the king reviewed it. I shoulda listened to that guy he was a heavy Italian man lol

Ordered 3 small pies: tomato w garlic, Mootz w/sausage and mushroom, and a clams casino. Definitely worth the 4 hour RT drive.

Great char and flavor. Score would have been higher but it was a little greasy and floppy. Definitely a pizza worth stopping for.

I’m from Trenton. (Central Jersey) let me tell u…this place does it right. thin, light, crispy, well-done, nice sweet sauce. I loved it, honestly better than a lot of the places in jersey I’ve been to. I’d come here any day for a pie. Was down visiting family for thanksgiving and we wanted to order pizza. This place is the real deal. I’ve never had New Haven apizza but if this is what it’s like then it’s very similar to what you’ll get in jersey. Outstanding, don’t skip if you’re in the area. Don’t go anywhere else!

Great New Haven style pizza. Fantastic crust and sauce. Decent mozzarella. Cooked great except for the very center where there was a little flop. (Non pizza review:) Was seated by the owner. Seems like a great guy. Staff friendly. Overall a good pizza joint.

First off Go Dolphins, in town for the week three match up from Canton, Ohio. Told my daughter and oldest son I’d be sending them my video review of Fantini’s so here it is. Excellent crust and best undercarriage of any pizza I’ve had in my life YTD. The cheese was delicious and the sauce was sweet ish but not like a noticeable over sweet. It was delicious hands down phenomenal. I know my wife and kids are both jealous they didn’t get to have any. Sorry I ordered half pepperoni because my dad won’t eat plain cheese. But my mom and I loved the style of this pizza. First Appiza and it didn’t disappoint. #FinsUp #TuaMakeUsGreatAgain

Alright Layna, pizza review time. Fantini’s did not disappoint. The New Haven style was a nice change of pace from our traditional florida pies. Great crisp all the way around. The sauce was refreshing, the cheese wasn’t overwhelming and a sprinkle of herbs and spices really made this pie a treat. Highly recommend.
