šŸ†BEST BAR PIE ALERTšŸ† Thereā€™s a few keys to making a great bar pie: 1) Thin dough/crust thatā€™s crispy & crunchy. 2) Large enough to share, small enough to finish yourself. 3) Zesty sauce & thin layer of cheese with some bite. This pie not only meets all of that criteria, it excels to the pinnacle by which all bar pies should be compared to as the gold standard. Thin, crispy, tasty dough lays the perfect foundation for wonderfully flavorful sauce & tight, sharp cheese, packing a uniquely delicious punch in this simple, yet fantastic pie. The only drawbacks keeping this from rating in the 9s are the excess grease and some burnt parts of the crust. Easily forgiven when you taste the overall finished product. The pie travels pretty well but Iā€™d still recommend eating on-site. It wasnā€™t an easy decision but this pizza edges out Star Tavern as the best bar pie in NJ; and it absolutely buries Pete & Eldaā€™s. Definitely a destination bar pie worth trying; it will not disappoint!
