Pizza Review
Looks like a pretty generic pie but the unique flavors of the sauce & dough separate this pizza from your basic run-of-the-mill pies. The sauce definitely stands out, with nice tang & a terrific hint of garlic; it’s by far the best of the ingredients. It’s a bit watery, mostly from a little extra oil, but it’s manageable and very tasty. The cheese to sauce ratio is excellent; however, the cheese is nothing special...probably the most generic aspect of this pizza. The dough has very good texture, mostly soft with just enough crisp to keep it from being a floppy mess. I like the taste of the crust but that could certainly use more crisp as well. Overall this is very solid, yet unspectacular pizza. But there is lots of potential here if they thicken up the sauce a tad and crisp up the dough & crust. I’d love to see this pizza climb into the 8s.
