Pizza Review
For this review I went with half cheese and half cup and char pep with the cheese side generating the score. I hate to start on a down note but the crust did not impress me at all. I thought the cook on it was great in their brick fire oven, but the crust didn’t have enough crispiness and was far too bland and chewy. There was very little sauce on the pie, which I don’t mind but I know some people hate so I wanted to mention it, but I thought what sauce there was had a great taste. The cheese was in abundance and was clearly a blend of provolone and mozzarella. Personally I would prefer pure mozz but this was still very good. I think a lot of people around here, particularly those who like Midwest style pizza, would love this cheese blend. Now the next part doesn’t factor into the score. The Ezzo cup and char was made for brick ovens like theirs. Those Pepperoni slices were delicious. Just the way the saltiness of the perfectly cooked pepperoni mixed with that cheese blend and the sauce was great. If I go back the cup and char will be on the pie. But, like I said before, the pep slices can’t factor into it. Because of that, I have to go 7.3. As far as being able to order and eat this level of pie in a movie theatre? That’s a 10. And an unofficial score on the pep slices that doesn’t count, 7.8.
