Fired Up Coal Oven Pizzeria

One bite everybody knows the rules... Been years since I’ve been in the area to try these guys again so I was looking forward to try the other coal-fired oven in the area. Gotta keep it real, I was just a little let down. Pizza was fine, but it was almost like they only “finished” it in the coal oven. The nice looking char was almost like a fine powder on the crust that was still soft, but not in a good way. A lot of flop, and they definitely didn’t turn the pizza in the oven as you can see in the photo. One side was much less cooked than the other. On the positive, the dough was fresh and the sauce was good. Still decent enough for a 6.6, and might give em another shot some day.
