Worked from home today and really want a sub. Not just any sub, but the best in the city. You could argue JP’s is the best yada yada, but my pick is Fontano’s. They have a pretty cool history and you can read up on that, but now they have a few locations both in the city and the burbs. It’s thee go-to sandwich spot for me. But that’s not what this is about. It’s about their pizza. Not sure if this is the only location that serves pizza, but the one in Hinsdale does not. Let’s just say it was forgettable. Overall, just mediocre and bland. Nothing set it apart. It was a little on the thicker side and had enough cheese and toppings. Nothing really distinguishable. Boring review on the pizza, but wanted to give them love for their sandwiches. Try the Wiseguy if you stop in.
