Forage Pizza

Wonderful spot in the Catskills. Best pizza I’ve had in a long time, and I’m from NYC. It’s wood fired in a bad ass oven and it tastes like a Neapolitan crossed with coal fire somehow. This is the mushroom and greens, we had a 4 cheese as well. The guys that work there are awesome too. We stayed for an hour after we were finished eating just shooting the shit. This is a must try for anyone visiting the area. And if you live up here like I do now, you HAVE to come. Most pizza up here is terrible. This joint has some serious good Vibes

Some flop, but great undercarriage, great crust and the sauce is well balanced. Light and airy- this is a solid establishment out in the Sullivan Catskills. Even got yelled out for taking it to go, which was welcomed and expected.

Our first time to this little jewel in the middle of the woods! We had a Margherita and a 4 cheese pie. So damn good!

Yo!! You can fold their Neapolitan inspired Margherita like a real New Yorker; this ain’t some sloppy mess of a pizza that you have to roll up or eat with a knife and fork. It’s the Neapolitan pizza that el Presidente has been asking for - it’s wood fired at 900+ degrees, cooked long enough and made with only premium ingredients - the dough, the sauce, cheese and basil all work perfectly together. It’s the perfect pie - their Margherita would be my death row meal. This place is a roadside gem with pizza and food that kicks ass. Their appetizers and salads are worth the trip all by themselves but grab a pie or two and it will be one of the best meals that you’ve had in a long time. They have 8 or 10 pies on the menu and their menu changes weekly. Their Marinara and Margherita’s are both must tries and my regular go-tos. They’ve been recently making a Margherita with Buffalo mozzarella as a special on their menu. It’s BYOB and great pizzas, what’s not to like? Just read the rules before you order, to-go orders are frowned upon. Their pizzas are best right out of the oven.

Are you kidding me? No one has left a review of this place? Big mistake. I had a wood-fired soppressata pie, 13-14 inches cut into four slices for $18. Fucking unreal. No flop at all. No way Portnoy would give it a “6.8”. He needs to get his knock-kneed ass and his beach pajamas up here and taste for himself. Was also fortunate enough to have a poké bowl with yellowfin caught by the owner a couple of days ago; tuna, sushi rice, bean sprouts, beans, peas, avacado, seaweed, watermelon and sesame seeds. F’in outstanding! 9.3 on the poké!! Grab some beer from across the street and make it a meal. Best pizza in southeast NY….
