Fort Ball (South) was just ok. Pepperoni & cheese was bland. Sauce was had zero flavor & crust was the same. It’s definitely a football/drunk pizza that is ok for a college town. A large 1 item & 20 oz drink was $15. After it cooled I realized it tasted like garlic bread with light sauce from CiCis. For a pizzeria opened since 1978 I was a little disappointed.

The standard of cheese only will leave you sad. Although there is plenty of non-greasy, good quality mozzarella - the dough is soft and flavorless. The sauce has a slight sweet tang but you’re going to need some self seasoning on this one. This is like a focaccia bread with pizza topping.

Well, I’ve been wrong about Chicago style deep dish pizza. The crust was crispy but greasy! Loaded with fresh cheese and a sweet pizza sauce that had a little heat that hit me a few seconds after! I wish I was better at this but I can’t find the words to describe this heavenly slice of pie! I will be back through this little town and will for sure grab a pie to go!
