If your worst school lunch pizza is between a 0-1, Celeste’s and Elio’s are a 2, and Chinese buffet, Cici’s pizza and other lower tier frozen pizzas are a 3, this can’t be much better than a 4 at best. This is Big Four chain tier pizza.
That’s easily the worst pizza from a local place I’ve eaten from in my 34 years in Northern Westchester *ever*. Another reviewer said this is Chucky Cheese tier pizza? It’s worse.
I don’t even think I’m being harsh here. This is a local place that has “Pizza” in its name. It should automatically be better than *any* chain pie place. Around this area, you can easily find solid 6-7 or even better pizza all around, IMO.
So why’s it bad? I got the Clam Pizza. First, it’s a dry pizza in all its ingredients: ricotta, clams, dough, and “garlic”. The crust is doughy, definitely not a thin pizza. Ricotta is flavorless, you can tell it wasn’t even salt/pepper seasoned. No garlic taste to it, though it’s supposed to have it. And the clams themselves were smelly and tough.
I can imagine the plain pie or Neapolitan is a bit better and bumps it up a bit but, Jesus Christ, this was bad. Obviously, people must like it. But less than a mile away, there are two place I’m *confident* most people—forget even pizza connoisseur—will like much better.
