This is what good pizza is all about! Had the tomato pie, mozz and sauce and this delicious, spicy and loaded white shrimp pie. I love Sally’s but Pepe’s is so close. Love ‘em both!

Lives up to the hype. That 1909 oven does amazing things for the crust. Personally could've had a tad more sauce, but that's just me nitpicking. This is amazing pizza.

Great pie, but heavy and greasy as shit. I feel like its reputation is slightly overdone. Dough is great, pepperoni is thick, cheese is very tasty but a little overbearing

The pizza was a little pulpy (soft) and not as crispy as I remembered it being at the CT location. But what an incredible pie, I had a pepperoni and a cheese to try both and it was just a fascinating place to grab an awesome slice of pizza. *Plantation, Florida*

Wow. I mean this is definitely some of the best pizza I've ever had. The cheese and sauce mixed well and we're delicious, there was only a small flop, and the crust was amazing. I definitely could not live in New Haven because the pizza here is way too good. I'd be going to the gym for 10 hours a day.

My picture turned out blurry. Good char and flavor with the crust. However, a tad bit chewy at times. The sauce was a little bland compared to Sally’s. However, I’m a big cheese guy and the cheese on Pepe’s was OUT OF THIS WORLD. Slightly prefer Sally’s over Pepe’s, but they are very close together. Next time through we’ll try Modern and Abate’s.

Excellent pizza. Not the best in New Haven, but excellent nonetheless.

A must try in New Haven, they have been delivering quality pizza since the 1920’s and still deliver a higher quality pie.

Essentially the prefect crust, and so much tang on the sauce without feeling gimmicky. We tried the tomato pie from Pepe’s (no mozzarella, by accident), and the tomato pie from Sally’s (with mozzarella). Pepe’s had better sauce and crust, in my opinion. Both great pizzas, but Pepe’s was better this time around.

Super amazing cheese . The dough is chewy but in a good way it evens out with the crunch on the undercarriage and on the crust.

Love the well down crust and cheese. A tad oily but still great slice.

The real Guinea sh**t. The real deal thin crust little char on it,no droop, fantastic taste. All the ingredients were first rate..even the grated Parmesan on the table smelled and tasted great. It’s no wonder it’s rated number one in the nation. I finally got here and it was worth the trip. We did try the white clam just because it’s their best seller, we did not like it. I’ll stick to red cheese pizza

Crispy as hell, pepperoni has a fantastic spice. Well balanced but crunchier than I personally care for but I get the desire

I am not sure if my expectations are too high, or if the pizza was just mediocre. I did enjoy it, but it was not worth the extra trip to go here. If I lived in the neighborhood, there should be a good option. But if you were looking to drive here for this pizza, there just as good of places in every town in America

Very crispy, does have a char taste to it that isn’t bad at all but the sauce is a very subtle in flavor. Love the texture of this pie more than the taste.
