Perfect crisp with minimal flop, beautifully executed margherita pie

Not quite as good as the original in New Haven, but still a top 10 destination in Boston

We stopped by a day after they were closed for a memorial. On our way back from Boston. Placed an order and they had a 25 min wait. The wonderful lady brought our pizza to the car. And I was truley happy with the flavor. The cheese a a little bite like a cheddar or sharp cheddar in the mozzarella, the crust was thin but not thin crust still had a little rise to it, It had a nice crisp, but it’s one of those pizzas you have to have fresh. You order it, open the box and slam it. You eat it 30 min later it’s not the same. Glad I stopped by and tried it. Little different style then the philly style we traditionally do. But if you love pizza. You have to try Frank Pepe

Classic new Haven pizza. Not as good as Sally’s and I’ll take that to the grace but I will never turn down a pie from pepes. Ever.

Amazing crust, tomato sauce shines through, cheese was a little greasy.

It was a clam petes it was not very good.whould not recommend.

Solid pie. Definitely worth the trip from Cleveland!

Coal fire is just better. Anyway, where to begin. Good flop. Crisp, coal charred crust with a soft (not soggy) under side. Sweet sauce packing huge flavor topped with quality cheese. No hype here. There’s a reason it’s been around for a long long time. Also, don’t sleep on the white clam pie. And must try.

incredibly dry the dough had a nice flavor but way too chewy Would have appreciated a tad more sauce

Pepe’s was awesome today. Killer pie. The clam and bacon was good too but not the best I’ve had. If that were on fire today I’d give the score a 9.2 probably.

Can’t get any better

High quality pizza, maybe not as much overall flavor as the Sally’s pie. We tried the clam pie as well but only rated the cheese. I would be happy to eat this pizza everyday.
