Great crust to sauce ratio, crunch is on point!

Solid pie. Good ratio of cheese and sauce but both need more flavor. Flavor and crunch of the crust makes this a must have. A slight flop and drip of grease didn’t hurt this 8.

Hands down best pizza in the state.

Not as good as the original….. Duh! Well, as the Frank Pepe empire builds and grows the Waterbury restaurant has become the one I frequent the most. They try to replicate their chain store ovens to be authentic with the 100 year old New Haven oven. Well, that is not possible but they have atleast created a above average pizza chain here in Connecticut. I can’t speak to the Florida establishments or Massachusetts but I have been to Pepe’s in Fairfield, Danbury and Mohegan Sun. Waterbury is my home Pepe’s. It’s really good pizza. They just will always be 2 steps behind the New Haven Wooster street original.

This is my least favorite Pepe’s. Something about the quality drops off here. I can’t pinpoint what it is; they just don’t serve up the same level as other locations. However it still is Pepe’s. Overall, good nostalgic pizza, but I would much rather drive 30 extra minutes to the Danbury location. Server was the highlight; she was super nice.

Never really understood the hype of this place, maybe new haven one is better. I hope so

Great pie! No flop! Despite Pepe’s becoming a chain, the quality’s remained somewhat the same. Nice and thin, love the char. Strong 8.2!

For the franchised version this pizza is just as good of quality as the original.

Good pizza, but no Sally’s Apizza

Stopped at this place on the drive home from Army vs UConn. Watched the pizza documentary on New Haven where El Prez steals the show. Some of the best pizza I've ever eaten. Saving the 9's for New Haven.

Pepe's has gone to the dumps. Pizza isn't good anymore. Would not recommend to anybody. Sally's is 100 times better and I can recommend a bunch of other spots in CT that are better.

Tremendous pizza. Good crisp, great taste and very light. Looking for a twist, their Veggie pizza which comes with with Pecorino and Romano cheeses is outstanding as well

One bite everyone knows the rules, Frankie the crisp was spot on and it had a great undercarriage. First slice was an 8 light on the sauce second slice had great sauce but 1 bite everybody knows the rules

Second favorite Pizza, only behind John's of Bleeker St. It was worth the drive from NY.
