Obviously half and half. The Original tomato pie and a mozzarella pie. I’ve had the waterbury Frank Pepe’s and was not impressed. I can only compare Frank Pepe’s to Sally’s which i have been to in New Haven and i absolutely LOVED this West Hartford Frank Pepe’s. I would give the mozzarella half a 7.4 in pure honesty. Loved it. But you can find better “cheese pizza” in CT and i’m sure the original Pepe’s. The tomato pie was beyond spectacular. I could never go to Pepe’s again without ordering a large tomato pie. This review was based off this half and half. I will say in addition. The pepperoni and cherry pepper pizza, if you like spicy food, and i mean spicy. Is one of the greatest foods i have put in my mouth. Very and beyond VERY happy and impressed with a “branch” of New Haven being so good.

Stellar pizza, one again, from the West Hartford Peps crew. The perfect ratio of sauce and cheese and it was cooked to perfection. Don’t forget your Cannoli Pie as well.

Very good pizza. Thin, crunchy and well done. No flop with a very nice taste. Would definitely be here regularly if I lived close by.

It's not bad, but no real crisp, has some flop. Thought it would be better.

Love Pepe’s. Every. Thing. About. It.

I’ve been to multiple Pepe’s locations and this one is top tier. I normally tend to go for a doughier typed pizza rather than something thin and crunchy but this one definitely got the job done. One thing I really like about their pizza is how every slice is different. One slice could have some rich tasting cheese, another might be filled with great sauce and you might grab another one with some 10/10 pepperoni. The only thing keeping this pizza from being perfect is the crunchy black crust whereas I usually like it nice and doughy.

Frank Pepe’s is all hype. I came here expecting the holy grail of life changing pizzas, the ark of the covenant of pizzas if you will, and was sorely disappointed. It was just kind of meh. Not the worst pizza I’ve ever had, but definitely not what it’s cracked up to be.

This is the second Pepe’s I’ve tried besides the original on Wooster St. It was good but doesn’t compare to Wooster St.. The undercarriage was light. There was some crunch but overall under cooked. Again, the pizza was good by Hartford area standards but the bar is high when Frank Pepe’s name is on the signage.

Not as good as the original in New Haven

Ordered the pep and red pepper well done. The ‘za had good taste, crispy crust and a good undercarriage. We prefer this place over the New Haven location. Don’t sleep on the tiramisu, 8.8

Half Doppio Pep and half Tomato pie. Very good. Pep side savory with a touch of spice, tomato side sweet, fresh and clean. Still the New Haven location Reigns supreme but do recommend for sure.
