Okay Franks on Quentin Road. Flatbush’s finest. In the heart of Canarsie. I know a guy that considers himself Mr. Canarsie. But he plays for the pink team. Growing up we use to call him Gerry the Lady Cabdriver. Anyway Franks is an old school place. I mean the awning outside looks to be about 100 years old. They have a soda machine that is constantly on the fritz. That thing hasn’t worked since the early 90s. If you want to travel back to 1975 then go into franks grab yourself a Heineken and have the pie inside. Now to the apizza. Very good pizza. Big slices. If you are a sap and just listen to anything the PorkBoy says, your gonna be like “football style” no you bunch of parrots it’s not “foootbawlll styyyyle” it’s Brooklyn Style. Big large piping hot slices, really good sauce. Now my only issue is that the pie cooled off. But if you eat in that Time Machine they call a pizzeria then it will probably stay piping hot until you decide to walk back outside to rejoin us in the 21st century.
