Solid slice. Dough was very good but it was too doughy. Great cheese to sauce ratio but sauce had a unique tang. Slight crisp but not crisp on the undercarriage.

Served warm in 2-3 minutes with a solid crisp and no Flop. The mozzarella is average and a tad bit soupy. The sauce is okay with a tiny tang and a little under seasoned. The dough recipe is very good. It is light, fluffy and crispy. The sad truth in that the elements of the slice are very pedestrian. When you add poor cheese/sauce ratio and an underwhelming amount of salt and seasoning, this can’t be good if it tried. Plus, this slice needed to be served in the 4-5 minute range to tighten up the cheese and ignite some of the seasoning that was present. This slice is a smidge better that a dollar store slice in the city!

1 cheese slice, 5:30pm on a Friday Pros: Sturdy slice, nicely cooked bottom. Good crisp to the crust. Proper appearance for a NY slice with appropriate thickness. Cons: Slice was a bit dry, leaves a little to be desired in the flavor department. Verdict: Kind of middle of the road (for the region - we are in NY metro area, bar is high). I wish I walked in while they were dishing out fresher slices. This slice was probably from a pizza cooked a bit earlier, but it's all I have to go by. I don't like to apply seasoning, but it would have corrected the flavor a bit, had I done so. I appreciated hearing the boss compliment a young employee, I want to root for people like that. This particular location has struggled with prior pizza establishments, but I have a good feeling about Frank's Pizzeria.

We’re back in the pizza saddle with quite a bang. A monstrous slice with no weaknesses other than the crust and amount of oregano. Fine a couple weaknesses.

In order to give an accurate review, I had to delete my rating I had of their white pie, and update it with a classic cheese. Sauce is out of this world, and as always, outstanding crust. 8.1.
