Franzone's Pizzeria & Restaurant

Lots of flop but doesn’t matter much. Great flavor. Sweet but not too sweet. Crushable. Almost an 8. Pretty good pizza.

So here we are no. 151 review and this was a darn good tasting slice. However, I picked it up and it fell apart. EXTREMELY FLOPPY. I took a bite and the hole opened up and then it just split in half. But.....the sauce was def sweet with pretty decent crisp and lightweight thin. Good cheese also. If it didn’t fall apart and so floppy I would have scored higher. Good tasting slice

Fresh out of the oven and delicious, the sauce is very sweet but tastes good. Will definitely return

i thought it was a solid good pie sweet sauce i would definitely get pep to even up the sweetness or sausage other then that solid pie nice people great neighborhood

Nothing wrong with a little sweet jawn. Crust was perfect and for my personal taste I loved it. 2 reheated slices are still getting a good score. 🤙🏽

Didn’t know I need make the sauce and have ingredients ready for this “buffalo chicken cheesesteak” pie. Worst pizza I’ve ever had

Very floppy body, crispy crust, sweet sauce goes great with saltiness of cheese. Will come back.

It don’t get better then this!!!!! Dave come to Manayunk and get the best pizza in philly!!! Stop crying about how sweet the sauce is! That’s what there famous for! So if you don’t like sweet sauce keep it moving!!! If you do this is the pie for you! I live in center city I’ve had all the pies this is what every pie is looking up too!!!! God bless franzones manayunk!!! I’m about to order another pie after this review!!!!

Sauce was way too sweet. Rest of the pizza was really good though. Just disappointed about the sauce.

2nd review of the day...I wanted to review the local “rival” spot and it was definitely solid...but just not in the same level as Riverside a couple blocks down the road. It’s a good slice...sweet sauce, good cheese, and crispy.

I understand some may see this as a VERY generous score. (Note: I got sausage on my pie) However, this pizza incorporated pretty much every key factor i look for when i try pizza. The sauce was sweet and plenty, and the dough tastes delicious. Not football pizza, nor “drunk pizza” as dave puts it. I would categorize this as Boardwalk pizza. Fantastic. Best I’ve had in philly.

Messiest pizza I’ve ever had I think. Some slices had lots of flop and others had none. Waaayyyy too much sauce in certain parts of the pizza made it inedible. It’s a unique style but there’s a reason others don’t make it this way. I’d be embarrassed to own this place and serve this style. I just don’t understand the thought process of dumping sauce all over the top. But hey, at least they tried to make it look cool. Gross.

Sweeter sauce than normal if you like that.. sausage and long hots is the perfect combo

Best pizza in philly. Sweet sauce, not a lotta flop. Philly sports fans might be trash, but this pizzas far from that.
