Fricano's Pizza Tavern

One of the best pizzas I've had. Super thin and crispy. The ingredients were super fresh.

Borderline 7.1 Pizza tempting to do 7.0 or even 6.9. This place has been massively overhyped for years. I appreciate the cheese choice & ratio which has good flavor, also the cheese was well done which is preferred. Even though I love thin crusts, the dough here is too thin & lacks structure/crisp. I can re-create this pizza at home using a pizza stone & large tortilla which the right cheeses. It tastes like Romano, Parmesean, and maybe Asiago.

worst pizza i ever had. the cheese left an after taste of puke, wayyyyyyyyy too much oregano, canned mushrooms, and a crust that was barely cooked and felt/tasted like a tortilla. We were shocked because locals swear by this pizza and has been here for 75 years. The people and atmosphere was very nice though.

The worst pizza I ever ate. Hands down. Like a soggy tortilla with crappy sauce and cheese on it. We kept trying to enjoy it. The most disturbing thing was how long established and popular this place is. Very weird.

Has always been and will always be the best thin crust pizza in the WORLD. I have had pizza in Italy, France, Germany, Brazil, NYC, Chicago, Cali and there is none better!

It was good but also tasted like I made a pizza at home on a tortilla lol. Not your traditional thin crust. Could def be more well done on bottom

You have to like thin crust but the toppings were fresh and tasty the undercarriage cooked just right. Chest was nice and tangy. A local staple for 70 years.

I’m from Philly and here on vacation. Read about Fricano’s being the oldest pizza place in MI and seemed well-regarded. I should have checked this app first! We got a plain and an EBA (everything but anchovies). The latter was better, but both were incredibly subpar pizzas IMO. Sauce is nowhere to be found, so major strike for me. Crust is super thin, but not at all crunchy; reminded me of microwave pizza. Cheese was very fresh tasting and tangy but way too burnt for my liking and it’s all I tasted. Wanted to love it. Really did not. Seeing kitchen inside, it was an assembly line of kids making the pies and it tastes like it.

Its a nice thin pie, but it was vastly undercooked, got a bunch of oregano which pretty much ruins the while flavor thats all i can taste. Would not come back

Yes this is a photo of cement. That’s about as much flavor as our Pizza had. It had canned mushrooms instead of fresh, overcooked sausage and undercooked crust that flopped. People who live here swear by it. I guess you have to grow up with it. We couldn’t eat it. Even the dogs were not impressed.

Whitler herself couldn't keep this fine establishment closed. 10/10 would crawl across broken glass
