Pizza Review
I may have scored this one a bit higher than I should have only because the only other review is a 5.4 and it DEFINITELY needs to be in the solid high 6’s for sure. Admission: I’m a sucker for crispy wood-fired pizza and this doesn’t disappoint. I ordered the “Piggy Smalls” because I also love a good pork laden pizza. It was very good, plenty of meat, good portion of sauce, and crispy, actually flavorful, crust. One clear knock may be a bit more grease than I would like but it’s mostly to be expected with all of that glorious meat. They could cut back a tiny bit on the cheese but it wasn’t excessive. About the place: Definite hipster vibe which I HATE but one must expect hipster infestation in and around ANY college town, even in Virginia. Still, I get no elitist vibe from the establishment, they are just catering to the clientele. I may need to return in a few days to try one of the other signature pies on their menu. If you like a nice crispy(though not really thin) pizza, you’ll be happy with the pizza here.
